Volunteers with Community Corrections provide a direct, caring and personal link for both juvenile and adult offenders. Volunteers make a real difference in the lives of offenders by serving as tutors, group facilitators, library and research assistants, befrienders and dorm assistants for both adults and juveniles.

Arts and crafts leader
Description: Help youth in the Juvenile Detention Center expend their creative energy in a positive way through arts and crafts activities.
Ages: Adult (18 or older)
Group coordinator: Alcohol Anonymous/Narcotics Anonymous
Description: Coordinate the facilitation of a weekly group for residents of Ramsey County Correctional Facility.
Ages: Adult (18 or older)
Employment readiness instructor
Description: Provide resources for residents to achieve work readiness and enter the workforce after they are released.
Ages: Adult (18 or older)
Transitional housing volunteer
Description: Help inmates find transitional housing information using the 211 United Way website and other resources.
Ages: Adult (18 or older)
Volunteer leader for faith
Description: Meet with residents one-on-one or in small groups.
