Tamarack Nature Center is offering a variety of programming options for groups this summer. Choose the adventure that best fits your group's needs!
Registration
Registration Opens: February 19, 2024
To register, please complete the 2024 Summer Request Form below:
- Field trips and programs can be scheduled for Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays; morning and afternoon options available.
- All field trips may be booked for June 25 - Aug. 15.
Program information
4 year old – grade 5
Explore the sights, sounds, scents and textures of the nature center on a one-hour, naturalist-led adventure. Combine this with one hour of wet and sandy free play in Discovery Hollow to activate restless bodies, inspire curiosity and foster a love of the outdoors. Fresh air and simple, sensory-based fun are waiting for you!

Animal outreach programs (for all ages)
Animal Outreach Program
Not enough time or resources to schedule a field trip? Let us come to you! Tamarack’s professional naturalists can come to your site and deliver a 45-minute program catered to your group’s age and needs. Live animal ambassadors – turtles, salamanders, snakes - will be the stars of the show! Larger groups will split into smaller pods for two back-to-back programs.
Ages: All ages, great for youth and adult groups
Group size: up to 30 people (kids and adults)
Length: 45 minutes
Time: 10 a.m. or 1 p.m.
Fees
- 15 or fewer participants: $125 + travel fee
- 16–30 participants: $200 + travel fee
- Travel fee: $20–$30

Changes to group size
Please stay in good communication about potential changes in your group size. We will accommodate whenever possible.
Payment
If there is a fee associated with your field trip, payment is due at least two weeks before your visit. We accept checks and credit card payments. If you cannot meet this payment deadline, please make arrangements with us in advance.
Cancelations & refunds
Groups may cancel up to two weeks before a scheduled visit and receive a partial refund. No refunds for cancelations made less than two weeks ahead. (Exceptions will be made for extreme circumstances like severe weather.)
