Severe weather threat on April 28
The National Weather Service Twin Cities forecasts a second, more dangerous round of severe weather hazards for Monday afternoon and evening.
Severe storms are expected to develop rapidly between 5-7 p.m., bringing the possibility of very large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes. All optional county activities that begin at 5 p.m. or later are canceled.

Prepare for severe weather
Residents are encouraged to:
- Have a way to receive emergency weather alerts.
- Prepare or check emergency plans and emergency kits.
- Be prepared to shelter indoors quickly.
- Get off the road immediately and into the nearest sturdy building.
- Do not stay in your car.
- Do not shelter under an overpass — they actually increase the intensity of the storm winds.
