The Ramsey County Board of Commissioners will interview four finalists on Tuesday, July 30 at the Ramsey County Courthouse in Saint Paul.

Sophia Thompson has been named director of Ramsey County Social Services after serving as the Deputy Director overseeing the department’s Mental Health division since May 2021

Christina Rost has been appointed Director of Ramsey County Veterans Services. She has served as interim department director since August 2022, and prior to that, was a veteran services officer with the county starting in 2016.

Luther Seminary rescinded their offer to lease part of their campus to Safe Space Shelter.

Ramsey County named Gloria Reyes as the next deputy county manager of the Safety and Justice Service Team. Reyes was selected by county staff and community through a competitive search process that started in January as the county prepared for the current deputy county manager of Safety and Justice to retire in June.
