Lay Hae died at approximately 11:15 pm on July 26 after he was strangled during an alleged confrontation with a juvenile. Police responded to the alley at the 600 block of Edmund Avenue, Saint Paul. A 9-1-1 caller reported seeing Lay unconscious and bleeding. Police arrived to find Lay gravely injured on the ground. Life saving measures were attempted, but Lay succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect in this homicide is a juvenile.
