Services for job seekers
Workforce Solutions prepares job seekers to be competitive in the local job market. Career development and coaching services include assessments, basic skill development, occupational skills training, job search support and placement. Whether an individual is getting their first job or exploring mid-level career changes, Workforce Solutions helps people reach economic self-sufficiency and improve their families’ quality of life.

Partnerships and initiatives
CareerForce
In partnerships with Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development, Workforce Solutions is a one-stop delivery system of workforce services offered through Minnesota CareerForce.
Youth Works!
Youth Works! is a county-wide youth employment awareness initiative that promotes opportunities for personal, social and educational youth development, leadership and employment. This initiative enables youth to develop their voice, influence and place in society to reach their full potential.
Workforce Innovation Board of Ramsey County
Workforce Solutions is overseen by the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners and the Workforce Innovation Board (WIB) of Ramsey County.
The WIB is appointed by the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners and the Mayor of Saint Paul. The 33-member board is made up of business leaders, elected officials and workforce development professionals who provide leadership, set policy and provide oversight of the public workforce programs and efforts.
The WIB has direct oversight of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act legislation and programs. The WIB has an advisory role over the Temporary Assistance to Needy Families legislation and programs.
Veterans Priority of Service, Public Law 107-288 (PDF)
A veteran shall be given priority over a non-veteran for receipt of employment, trainings and placement of services in job training programs if the veteran meets the program’s eligibility requirements.
