Tamarack Nature Center offers a number of free programs tailored to youth, adults and all ages. Select a program below to learn more and register for upcoming classes.
Photography Club
Join us every third Saturday of the month to learn about photography and improve your skills. During meetings participants will be invited to share their photographs. No meeting in March.

Discover Walks
Walks are free and open to all ages. Children under 16 should be accompanied by a registered adult.
Birds, Animal Tracks & Signs of Spring
Join our experienced volunteers for a free mid-summer or mid-winter walk around the nature center. We'll learn about birds of the area, find the tracks of critters that call the nature center home and look for signs of spring. Bring binoculars if you have them. Registration is preferred.

9-11 a.m.
Spring Bird Walk
It's spring! Join our experienced birding volunteers to learn about birds of the area, how to identify them by sight and sound, and all about their lives in our woods, waters and fields. Bring binoculars if you have them. Beginners and experienced birders welcome. Meet at the building's main entrance. Registration is preferred.

Butterfly Walk
Join our volunteers as we search for butterflies. We'll catch them on cameras or phones, consolidate our collections and identify the butterflies.

Prairie Wildflower Walk
The prairie is a beautifully changing landscape throughout the year. Join us to see what’s blooming throughout this summer season.
