Project Assist provides screening, assessment, diagnosis, brief intervention and arrangement of ongoing services for youth who have been identified with a mental health concern.
Project Assist services are available for children of all ages.
Eligibility
Mental health screening – a brief set of questions usually completed by a parent or youth - helps determine eligibility. A good resource to determine if a child might qualify is the Massachusetts General Hospital's Pediatric Symptom Checklist. Services are free, but insurance information is collected when available.
Referrals
Referrals are accepted from child protection, juvenile justice, schools and other community agencies that work with children. Referral form (PDF).
