July 17-23 proclaimed Pretrial, Probation and Parole Week
The board of commissioners has declared July 17-23 as Pretrial, Probation and Parole Week.
Ramsey County employs over 500 community corrections professionals who are dedicated to strengthening individual and community safety and well-being through innovative interventions and programming that promote personal change and accountability.
Probation Officers and community corrections staff at all levels perform duties necessary to protect the community, promote positive behavioral change, increase healthy development, hold probationers accountable, and to provide support to crime victims by helping them understand and exercise their rights.
Commissioner Ortega read the proclamation with staff from Community Corrections offering remarks. Pretrial, Probation and Parole Week is an annual recognition event initiated by the American Probation and Parole Association.
