Officers arrived to find Marcus Johnson lying face down with blood near his head and under his body near the intersection of Kennard Street North and Ross Avenue in Saint Paul. Prosecutors allege Marcus was shot by two juveniles who were allegedly attempting to buy marijuana in Saint Paul.

Local media reported that Marcus was an Entrepeneur who owned his own clothing company called "Splash" and worked in youth ministry.
