The Ramsey County Board of Commissioners has proclaimed Jan. 19 as National Day of Racial Healing in Ramsey County in conjunction with others throughout the United States.
In its proclamation, the board of commissioners urged all communities in Ramsey County to promote racial healing and transformation in the ways that are best suited for them individually, as a means of working together to ensure the best quality of life for every community.
In honor of the National Day of Racial Healing, a virtual town hall about the county's racial equity efforts and strategies is happening on Jan. 19. The town hall will include opportunities to ask questions and provide input regarding racial equity initiatives in Ramsey County.
