Board proclaims Jan. 18 as Day of Racial Healing
The Ramsey County Board of Commissioners has proclaimed Jan. 18 as Day of Racial Healing in Ramsey County in conjunction with others throughout the United States.
Commissioner Reinhardt read the proclamation, which states racial healing is a vital and crucial commitment to the educational, physical, social and mental well-being of all people. County staff and community partners offered remarks.
In honor of the Day of Racial Healing, Ramsey County, the City of Saint Paul, City of Minneapolis, City of Brooklyn Park and Hennepin County will have for a community cross-government event to recognize the National Day of Racial Healing.
