The Plan at Work: Strategy 5
Sustain and accelerate workforce recovery programs
In alignment with recommended actions from Strategy 5, the following metrics focus on fostering economic competitiveness, innovation and transformation to demonstrate the Economic Competitiveness & Inclusion Plan’s impact:
- Co-investment of nearly $24M of American Rescue Plan Act Funds in workforce investments including $9M on Learn and Earn programs.
- Acceleration of Ramsey County Early Childhood Academy, Ramsey County Driver’s Academy and Public Health Career Pathways.
- Moving toward final recommendations on the Connectivity Blueprint in partnership with the city of Saint Paul.
- Increase in number of employers partnering with programs that are working with Black, Indigenous, Latinx and Asian workers to get certifications, as a means for developing and sourcing diverse talent through on-going commitment to Ramsey County Recruitment Resource Fair to connect employers to Black, Indigenous and racially and ethnically diverse populations through community based organizations.
- Launching second Ramsey County Inclusive Workplaces Cohort.
- Expansion of Training Dashboard collating free community-based trainings within Ramsey County.
- Increased investments in Young Adult Career Academy.
- Increased investments to support Ramsey County Youth Works! in partnership with the city of Saint Paul.
