The Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office provides booking photos of persons who have been booked into the Ramsey County Adult Detention Center in accordance with Minnesota State Statutes. Booking photos, also known as mug shots, are official identification photographs taken of a person when they are booked into a detention facility.
Booking photos of persons formally charged with a crime are considered to be public data, pursuant to conditions outlined in Minnesota State Statutes.
Booking photos of persons arrested but not formally charged in district court are considered to be protected data that belongs to the arresting agency. Booking photos of arrested persons are subject to the release policy of the arresting agency, pursuant to conditions outlined in Minnesota State Statutes.

Booking photos of persons detained in the Ramsey County Adult Detention Center are available from the Criminal History Unit of the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office, located at 425 Grove Street, Saint Paul, Minnesota, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, except for government holidays.
Request for an individual booking photo can be made in person at the Criminal History Unit or submitted via email to [email protected]. Please include the subject's first name, last name, date of birth, arrest date and arresting agency as available.

Requests will be processed in the order they are received and every effort will be made to do so within the same working day.
