Page Redirects

This page describes how to create a redirect that will direct visitors from an old page URL to a new location on the updated Ramsey site.

Step 1: Go to Configuration > Search and metadata > URL redirects

Step 2: Click + Add Redirect to define a new redirect

     From - the relative path of the URL on the old website. Examples:
     /home/index.htm
     /sheriff/adc/index.htm

     To - the page on the new site. Will be translated to the internal node reference if a URL alias is used. Examples:
     <front>
     /government/leadership/sheriffs-office/sheriffs-office-divisions/detention-services

     Enabled - checked if the redirect should be active

     Advanced Options > Redirect Status - 301 Moved permanently is the default option and should be chosen for pages that have changed location.

Step 3: Check last redirect access time and determine whether redirects are still needed. Settings can be adjusted to automatically delete redirects that have not been used after a period of time.
