Emergency Management & Homeland Security recognized for excellence through national reaccreditation
Ramsey County Emergency Management & Homeland Security has successfully achieved reaccreditation from the Emergency Management Accreditation Program. This is a significant milestone and reflects the hard work, commitment and dedication of the entire team in maintaining and continually improving its emergency management practices.
“The reaccreditation process involved a rigorous evaluation of our programs and processes, and we are proud that our efforts to maintain high standards for disaster response, recovery and mitigation have been recognized at this level,” said Emergency Management Coordinator Bryan Mayer. “We look forward to building on this achievement and working together to ensure the safety and well-being of our community.”
Accreditation is a high honor awarded to emergency management programs that showcase their compliance with the Emergency Management Standard certified by the American National Standards Institute. These programs demonstrate accountability to continually identify areas for improvement to ensure they are prepared for any disaster.
Emergency Management & Homeland Security achieved its initial accreditation in 2017. For programs earning consecutive accreditation, this achievement is not just a one-time success but a continuous commitment to excellence and adherence to the highest standards set by the Emergency Management Standard.
