Winter Recreational Area: Early Closure for Ski Rental Season

Ramsey County has experienced an unusually warm start to spring, with higher-than-average temperatures and a lack of snowfall. As a result, the ski rental season at the Winter Recreation Area at Battle Creek Regional Park is ending earlier than expected.

While we had hoped for a longer season, the warm weather has made it difficult to maintain suitable skiing conditions. We appreciate all the skiers who visited and enjoyed our facilities this winter. Your enthusiasm and support make each season a success.
