Change Contact Information on a Page

Changing the contact information in the right column of the page can be confusing, since there is no cog to select when you hover over the 'Contact Us' box. This is because the 'Contact Us' boxes are their own type of content that needs to be edited elsewhere. In order to update the information in the box, you need to search for the content, and then update it in that edit screen.

  1. Click 'Content' on the top toolbar.
  2. The next screen is the content search screen. Search for the content here.
  3. Contact boxes are one of three content types:
    • Department / Office
    • Division / Unit
    • Alternate Contact Callout
  4. You can filter this search by searching the title and/or the content types listed above.
    • Contact boxes are usually named similar to the department / division etc. that they are assigned to. (e.g. for the elections contact box, search 'elections').
    • To find out what the content box is named -
      • Click the large 'Edit' button.
      • Click the 'Contact' tab.
      • View the assigned contact. It should be selected under the 'Department / Division Contact' or 'Alternate Contact Callout' boxes
  5. Find the content in the search results. Click on the title of the item to view it.
  6. Once you are viewing, click the edit button to edit the content.

Additional notes

  • For formatting, view an existing example to compare use of headers, links, etc., to ensure that our Contact Us boxes all appear uniform throughout the site.
  • Each page should only have one Contact Us box.
