The Minnesota Duty Officer is a 24-hour call service for all state reporting requirements, including spills and releases. Report all spills and releases that can threaten public or environmental health if not recovered.

  • Report spills that may cause pollution, like toxic, flammable, corrosive or dangerous chemicals.
  • Report spills that damage the environment, like milk, coal, animal parts or batteries.
  • You do not need to report petroleum spills of five gallons or less.
  • If unsure, report it.
