Full Description
The Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Minnesota is located just a few miles from the library in Roseville. It was founded at the University of Minnesota in 1979 as a student club of the Veterinary College. From those humble beginnings of just a few dozen animals admitted each year, WRC has grown into the world's busiest wildlife hospital, admitting more than 21,000 patients annually. They are known worldwide for work with lead toxicity in trumpeter swans and turtle shell repair.
Executive director Tami Vogel will present about this important resource in our community and share all about their patients, volunteer opportunities, and what to do (or not do) if you find injured or orphaned wildlife in your yard or neighborhood.
No animals will be at this event.
