Warm up this Winter with mobile saunas at Ramsey County Parks
This winter, Ramsey County Parks & Recreation invites you to experience the ultimate combination of relaxation and nature with mobile saunas! In collaboration with Driftwood Sauna and Saunice, we’re bringing cozy, mobile outdoor saunas to Tamarack Nature Center and Lake Johanna at Tony Schmidt Regional Park. These saunas offer the perfect opportunity to unwind and recharge after enjoying the beauty of winter—whether it’s after a snowy hike, a skiing adventure, or simply a peaceful day outdoors.
Driftwood Sauna
Tamarack Nature Center
Driftwood Sauna continues a centuries-old tradition of communal thermoregulatory therapy, offering a blend of physical, mental, and spiritual benefits. Nestled in the serene surroundings of Tamarack Nature Center, this experience provides the perfect balance of warmth and nature.
Reservation Details:
Community Sessions (60 minutes): $25 per person; maximum of 8 people per session.
Private Sessions (75 minutes): $180 for 1-4 guests; $300 for 5-8 guests.
Reservations can be made through Driftwood Sauna’s website. Saunas will be available January through the first week of March, between Thursdays and Sundays only.
Saunice
Lake Johanna at Tony Schmidt Regional Park
In partnership with the Lake Johanna Ice Dippers and Ramsey County, Saunice will provide mobile saunas at Lake Johanna Beach. Bask in the warmth of the sauna while taking in the crisp winter scenery.
Reservation Details:
Group Event (30 minutes): $10 per person, up to 10 people.
Private Rental (90 minutes): $200 per rental, up to 10 people.
Saunas will be available from November through April, every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Reservations can be made at Saunice.net by selecting Lake Johanna.

Please note that all sauna activities are weather-dependent. Be sure to check conditions and reservation availability before heading out.
