Ramsey County welcomes 26 interns from Right Track program

Today, Ramsey County welcomed 26 interns from the city of Saint Paul’s Right Track program. This program will help youth and young adults ages 14-21 with professional development and work experiences. Interns will work in 23 different county departments, learning the way Ramsey County and other local governments work. 

Right Track participants will learn about:

  • Processing subpoena and audio requests for 911 calls.
  • Accounting practices including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Communications and public relations.
  • Data collection for property tax including real estate appraisal.
  • Park and property management and maintenance.
  • Community corrections and public safety events.
  • Outreach at local job fairs.

Ramsey County’s participation in the Right Track program highlights the dedication to investing in the next generation of public sector talent. The county recognizes that internships help young adults discover their passions and interests often guiding them toward fulfilling career paths. In addition, programs like Right Track give the county a chance to highlight it's work and job opportunities and grow a more diverse workforce.
