November is Native American Heritage Month

The month of November is Native American Heritage Month. The original homelands of American Indian people within the county existed since time immemorial, and Ramsey County acknowledges the contributions of American Indian people prior to its formation and recognizes the inherent sovereignty of Tribal Nations, and the unique political status of Tribal members. The Ramsey County Board of Commissioners recognized Native American Heritage Month through a proclamation on Nov. 26 at 9 a.m. at Saint Paul City Hall and Ramsey County Courthouse.

This month, we encourage all residents of the county to join in recognizing and celebrating the contributions and important presence of American Indian communities in Ramsey County. Explore ways to celebrate with these helpful resources:
