May 19-25 is National Public Works Week in Ramsey County
The board of commissioners has declared the week of May 19-25, 2024 as National Public Works Week in Ramsey County.
Public Works professionals focus on infrastructure systems, facilities and services that are of vital importance to sustainable and resilient community. The county employs over 145 people in Public Works who preserves, operates and maintains over 293 miles of roadways, 57 bridges and other infrastructure essential for the health, safety, resiliency, high quality of life and welfare of Ramsey County residents. These infrastructure systems, facilities and services could not be provided without the dedicated efforts of the public works professionals who are planners, surveyors, engineers, managers, equipment operators, and technicians who are responsible for rebuilding, improving, maintaining, and protecting the infrastructure of Ramsey County.
The board urges all citizens to join with Ramsey County, the cities within the county, and the state of Minnesota in recognizing the substantial contributions made to protecting the health, safety, and advancing quality of life for all.
