Encroachment inspections to continue year-round
With minimal snowfall this season, encroachments on park property have been occurring throughout the winter and will continue to be addressed throughout the year. Parks & Recreation staff are actively inspecting parkland to identify unauthorized use, which can include dumping yard waste, mowing or clearing vegetation, storing personal belongings, or placing structures on county property.
When an encroachment is found, staff will notify the adjacent property owner with a letter outlining necessary steps for removal and a timeline for compliance. Residents can use MapRamsey to check property boundaries and ensure their activities remain within their own property lines.
To help with proper yard waste disposal, Ramsey County offers seven free collection sites for residents.
