Board proclamation recognizes Hmong International Freedom Festival
During the June 27 meeting of the Ramsey County board, Commissioner Xiong read a new proclamation recognizing the Hmong International Freedom Festival. The proclamation will also be read aloud at the festival scheduled to take place on July 1-2.
"Ramsey County acknowledges and celebrates the profound social, economic and cultural impact brought forth by the Freedom Festival, which has indisputably become a vital part of our community," Xiong said.
The festival supports local and family businesses with entrepreneurship and expansion of their businesses by offering opportunities for vendors to share a vast array of food and merchandise to thousands of spectators. It also plays a crucial role as a resource center, allowing local agencies and nonprofits to create awareness about significant programs and resources available to individuals and communities.
