Applications open for affordable housing development and redevelopment solicitations
Ramsey County is now accepting applications for two solicitations:
Emerging and Diverse Developers
The Emerging and Diverse Developers Solicitation is hosted through the Emerging and Diverse Developers Program and exclusively open to developers who own or have owned between zero and five housing properties in the state of Minnesota, in the last 10 years. Funding may support projects in the pre-development, acquisition, rehabilitation and/or construction of affordable housing units. Applications must be submitted by Oct. 31.
Development & Infrastructure
The 2023 Development & Infrastructure Solicitation is hosted through the Critical Corridors Program and offers funding to redevelopment projects that facilitate inclusive development and public infrastructure within transit, economic and cultural corridors. The program supports efficient land use and compact built form in order to connect residents to housing, jobs, retail and services, while creating walkable environments. Proposals should align with Ramsey County's Economic Competitiveness & Inclusion Plan and Equitable Development Framework. Pre-application meetings with staff are highly recommended to ensure program fit.
Update: Application deadline extended to Oct. 6.
Eligible projects for each solicitation must be located in Ramsey County, excluding North Saint Paul.
