Family coaching services are now available for Ramsey County’s African American/Black and American Indian families. Family coaches are partners who offer strength, motivation and holistic support for a minimum of six months to help families thrive.
What does a family coach do?
- Implements Kellogg Family-Centered Coaching Model that meets families where they are and helps them work towards stability.
- Provides a safe space for families to access culturally responsive, community-based resources and services for themselves and children, navigate challenges, and develop their own solutions needed to reach their personal goals.
- Offers voluntary, flexible, holistic, trauma-informed, follow-along support to assist individuals in acquiring skills and setting goals.
- Provides support for families committed to working with a coach for at least six months.
- Is provided by trusted community agencies.
Who can receive family coaching services?
We welcome African American/Black identifying, American Indian/Native American and multiracial parents/guardians of children 0-18 years old who are Ramsey County residents and able to commit to a coaching partnership.
