Hodgson Road (County Road 49) will be reconstructed from Gramsie Road / Rice Street to Bridge Street in Shoreview.
Construction of this project is underway. The purpose of the reconstruction project is to:
- Improve pedestrian and bike access in alignment with Ramsey County's All-Abilities Transportation Network plan. Pedestrian facilities will help connect users to parks, schools, churches and residential neighborhoods.
- Replace the aging pavement.
- Improve stormwater management.
- Replace aging city utilities.

Timeline
Construction is ongoing.
- Mailboxes for addresses between Snail Lake Road and Floral Drive have been relocated to side streets.
- Top soil and sod installation from Floral Drive to Gramsie Road is complete.
- Storm sewer installation is ongoing from Gramsie Road to Rustic Place.
- Water main and sanitary sewer installation is complete from Gramsie Road to Rustic Place.
- Excavation and gravel installation is ongoing from Gramsie Road to Rustic Place.
Traffic Impact
- Hodgson Road is open to business and local traffic from Gramsie Road to Hwy 96. A detour using I-694, Lexington Avenue, and Hwy 96.
- Rice Street from Rustic Place to County Road F is closed. Please use posted detours.
- County Road F at Rice Street is closed to traffic crossing. Please use posted detours.
